Vintage AF&C Hand Painted German Christmas Santa Candy Container

A delightful mid-century German Santa Claus candy container, marked AF&C Germany on the underside. Crafted from painted wood and paperboard, this Santa stands proudly atop a drum-style base that opens to reveal a hidden compartment once used for tiny sweets or trinkets.

Condition:
Good vintage condition with gentle wear from age. Santa shows some paint loss throughout. At one time he was decorated with mica glitter in several areas, though most of it has now worn away. He leans slightly forward, as shown in the photos. The base opens and closes properly.
