C.F. Monroe NAKARA Pink Glass Dresser Box with Hand-Painted Daisies

A signed C.F. Monroe Nakara Pink Satin Glass Dresser Box by the C. F. Monroe Company, Meriden, Connecticut, ca. 1890-1916.

The Nakara line was one of Monroe’s decorated opaline glass series (alongside Wave Crest and Kelva), produced in limited quantity, which makes it more rare and sought after. 

This example features a soft pink satin ground, hand-painted with clusters of white daisies and soft green leaves, raised enamel detail and gilt-metal hinged banding.

Measurements: 3 1/4"H and  4" Diameter measured corner to corner.

Condition:
Excellent antique condition with light age wear to the brass bands. No chips, cracks, or repairs. The top section retains its original silk lining, while the bottom section no longer has its lining. Hinge and clasp operate smoothly.
