Historical Note:
The East Palestine Pottery Company operated in Columbiana County, Ohio from the late 1880s until 1904, producing semi-porcelain tableware that blended European decorative styles with American manufacturing methods. Their green wreath mark enclosing the βE.P.P.Co.β monogram appears on pieces from this brief period before the firm was acquired by W.S. George Pottery. Plates with romantic subjects such as cherubs and pastel blush borders capture the genteel Victorian taste for sentimental imagery and remain desirable examples of early American semi-porcelain.
